Clean, Natural Heat

You’ll be able to order your smart reflector(s) and have them sent directly to you. Setup takes just moments, and they will automatically heat any area within their line of sight that you choose, no need for lengthy or costly plumbing or building work. Because they’re so lightweight, they can be installed almost anywhere: on existing walls, corrugated roofs, fence posts, and more. An early tester (John Shirt) described them as providing “a far more pleasant heat”.

Free Energy Storage
Smart Reflectors will be able to automatically choose where to store heat, so it’s released when needed.

Soon, we’ll be adding software that allows our reflectors to automatically learn where to direct and store heat inside a building, so it’s released when you need it. For short-term heating over a few days they can direct heat to lightweight structures such as furniture and plasterboard walls. For longer-term needs over several weeks they can store heat in larger structures such as brick walls and ground floors. Our system will be tailored to your needs by creating a custom thermal model of your building and tracking live online weather forecasts too.

Boost Solar Panels
Our reflectors can direct themselves at solar panels automatically to significantly boost their output whenever needed.

Old solar panel systems on a generous solar feed-in tariff often lose substantial income when shadows are cast over them. Since these systems usually can’t be moved or modified without losing the tariff, Smart Reflectors offer a solution: they can track the shadow and redirect sunlight to restore that lost revenue. Additionally, our reflectors can monitor live local electricity demand and automatically boost either your own or neighbour’s solar panels when the potential earnings are highest.

Unlike typical cooling systems such as heat pumps that generate heat while running and can actually worsen heatwaves, our reflectors are unique. When used in cooling mode, they help cool not only the local area but also the planet, in the same way that lost ice from the polar ice caps once did. Instead of contributing to global warming, our reflectors actively help reverse it!

Health Benefits
In initial tests, the first reported benefit of using our Smart Reflectors wasn’t reduced energy usage, but actually the health benefits of enjoying more natural sunlight, such as improved sleep.

Saving Money
A reflector can pay for itself much faster than many other energy systems, saving you thousands of pounds over its lifetime.

In addition, you can sell excess energy to your neighbours, increasing your income and effectively becoming your own energy provider, rather than paying a supplier as you did before. Each reflector produces 1kW, and with over 1,400 hours of sunlight per year in an average UK city, a single reflector could save more than 1,000 kWh of energy annually. Depending on how much you previously spent to generate that heat, the reflector could save you over £200 in just one year.

Commercial
Buildings such as schools, supermarkets, shopping centres or any buildings with many skylights and/or solar panels at the back are ideal setups.

The reflectors can provide shade in summer, heat in winter, and boost solar PV performance during the rest of the year, making their use far more cost effective than in domestic settings. We haven’t tested this setup yet, so if this sounds like your building, please let us know.

Industrial
As our reflectors are so lightweight, they can be added in large numbers to any existing insdustrial site.

Existing industrial facilities such as foundries or kilns, even with flimsy corrugated roofs, may be cost effectively upgraded to run from clean heat energy. This will hugely slash carbon emissions and energy bills. We have yet to test industrially, so if this sounds like your building, please contact us.

Climate
Our reflectors are unique in their ability to prevent many tons of CO₂ emissions over their lifetime, with minimal materials and environmental impact.

With a refundable deposit to encourage their return, our reflectors can be easily sent back to us at the end of their life for recycling. They can also power a wide range of photochemical carbon capture and usage / storage devices. In the future, this could make it more cost-effective to “grow” buildings from carbon in the air, much like how trees grow, rather than using traditional construction methods. This points toward a future where we capture vast amounts of carbon and begin to truly repair the climate.

Aid
As our reflectors are so lightweight and compact, they may be rapidly and affordably deployed to remote, hard to reach areas where the energy is most needed.

At 1kW each, a single donkey could easily carry a 50kW system around a small mountain pass. The software and hardware can be modified to accommodate for lack of internet and be made ultra easy to use without an app or external control, so simply directing and tapping a reflector would be all that’s needed for it to be setup and used immediately.

Space
As Smart Reflectors are so lightweight, they’re very affordable for space missions, giving many of the same benefits as our Earth based reflectors.

Our reflectors can greatly improve spaceflight missions, where the health benefits are even more essential, also providing cost effective energy for photosynthesis to produce natural fresh air and food.
For manned missions to the Moon and Mars, with a modified space design, we have demonstrated that the our reflectors could focus enough energy from the sun to melt metal and rock. We could carve out a habitat from solid rock, offering unparalleled protection from radiation and micro meteorites, and ample thermal storage in the surrounding rock so even if everything failed, you’d simply have to put a jumper on and wait to return to Earth or be rescued.
